Cavaliers/Warriors 93-89 and Shikoku/ Boulders 5-4

History was made last night when the Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA finals defeating the Golden State Warriors 93-89 in Sunday’s deciding game 7. Lebron James, after a unanimous vote, was named Finals NVP after scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. This is the first major sports championship that a Cleveland team has won since 1964. And in baseball news, The Rockland Boulders struggled to put the Shikoku Island away yet again, dropping the rubber game of their three game set 5-4 in ten innings at the Palisades Credit Union Park on Sunday afternoon. The loss marked Rockland’s second straight to Shikoku, giving the Japanese All-Stars the series win a year after Rockland handed Shikoku a four game sweep. Boulders will take the night off before hosting the New Jersey Jackals on Tuesday night at Pali Park in the first game of a home-and home series. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
