June 15 / Boulders 8 – Sussex 0

Rockland starting pitcher David Fischer twirled a gem and paved the way as the Boulders topped the Sussex County Miners 8-0.  Fischer tossed eight scoreless innings and gave up just three hits and a pair of walks while racking up nine strikeouts. The defense behind him helped out with three double plays in the game. Reliever Donnie Joseph came on in the ninth and picked up where Fischer left off as he retired the side in order to end the game. Offensively, C Marcus Nidiffer and DH Jared Schlehuber each had three hits and one RBI in the game. RF Brendon Webb hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning for his first round tripper of the year. (reprint: http://canamleague.com)
