Suez Proposal for Rate Increase of 13.7%

The New York State Public Service Commission is seeking public comment on a rate proposal that was filed February 26,2016 by Suez Water New York Inc.. Among other items, Suez is proposing to increase its annual revenues by roughly $11.6 million dollars, an increase of 13.7% to total revenues, for rate year ending January 31, 2018. The filing is presently under review. Opportunities for public information and comment will be held on Wednesday, June 15th at the Stony Point Community Center (Rho Building, 5 Clubhouse Lane, Stony Point, NY 10980) and Thursday, June 16th at Rockland Community College (Technology Center, Ellipse Room 8180, 145 College Road, Suffern, NY 10901). There are two sessions each day: 2:00pm Information Session / 3:00 p.m. Public Statement Hearing and 6 p.m. Information Session / 7:00 p.m. Public Statement Hearing.  Disabled persons needing special assistance can call 518-474-2520.  Suez will have a representative at each session to provide overview of the rate proposal and an Administrative Law Judge will provide an overview of the rate case process.
