FERC Meeting on Algonquin Pipeline Expansion

On May 17th at 6:30 p.m. the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will hold a public hearing in regards to the next stage of The Algonquin Pipeline expansion project. Spectra Energy owns The Algonquin natural gas pipeline that runs through Rockland, Westchester and Putnam counties on its way to New England. The expansion project was broken into stages, The AIM Project, Atlantic Bridge, and Access Northeast. This meeting is focused on Access Northeast and will be the only New York hearing.  The meeting will be held at Sleepy Hollow High School, 201 North Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591. The intention of the meeting is to provide the public with information about the Commission’s environmental review process and for landowners and other interested parties to comment. You may register to speak one hour prior to the meeting. Each speaker is given 3 minutes.  It is recommended you prepare your remarks. Pipeline representatives will be available prior to the meeting to answer your questions as well.
