Pomona Man Possibly Jumped Bridge

New York State Police suspect it was a 27-year old Pomona man who jumped off the Bear Mountain Bridge on Sunday. At 6:24 p.m. the alleged man stopped his vehicle in the driving lane and jumped over the southern railing of the bridge. Identification is tentatively being used from evidence in the victim’s car. State police have used scuba resources and side-scan sonar to locate the body. The investigation is ongoing.
