Narcon Training in Pearl River

PEARL RIVER – On Thursday, April 14th, Senator David Carlucci and the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services will be providing free Naloxone training. Naloxone commonly known as Narcan, is a medication used to block or reverse the effects of opioid medication, including extreme drowsiness, slowed breathing, or loss of consciousness. It can also be used by emergency services to treat situations of narcotic overdose. The training will be held at The Pearl River Library 80 Franklin Avenue in Pearl River from 5:30-7:30pm on April 14th. Each attendee will receive a Naloxone kit, equipped with two doses of this lifesaving antidote. You can RSVP by calling Senator Carlucci’s office at 845-623-3627
