Global NY Fund Tour for Global Expansion

NEW YORK – Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul joined state officials in detailing a new $35 million Global NY Fund through Empire State Development. ESD is New York’s chief economic development agency, and the new Global Fund will be providing loans, grants, tax credits, and other financial support to companies interested in developing globally. Hochul stated, “The Global NY Fund is opening doors for companies in the Capital Region and across the State so they can more easily access the global marketplace.” She went on to say, “I strongly encourage any company interested in international trade to explore how the state’s no-cost one-stop shopping services can help you grow.” Through the program, loans of up to $500,000 are available for companies to purchase equipment and inventory needed to deliver on export-related contracts and working capitol. There are interest-free loans of up to $50,000 in the Distilled and Fermented Beverage industry and grants of up to $25,000 to help a company start exporting globally. In order better inform New York’s small, mid-size and non-profits about these new resources the state is launching the Global NY Fund Tour.
