FAA Teterboro Testing Begins April 4th

Beginning April 4th, the Federal Aviation Administration will begin testing a new flight path to Teterboro Airport diverting aircraft that presently fly over the Route 17 corridor in Bergen County. The FAA is moving the flight path 1.5 miles west of the present route with the intention of creating improved safety and noise reduction for local residents — and the staff and patients of nearby Hackensack University Medical Center. Private aircraft and corporate jets mainly use Teterboro Airport. The US Department of Transportation approved a 2.3M grant at Teterboro for a noise study to be completed next year.
