Last night, The First Presbyterian Church of Englewood, on East Palisade Avenue caught fire just days before the Easter Services. Multiple sources are reporting that flames could be seen from the rear of the building destroying large sections of the roof. The church is a Victorian Gothic style built in 1870 and is presently led by Reverend Richard Hong. It is uncertain as to where the congregation will hold this weekend’s Easter services. Sources say, the community is stepping up and a local Synagogue has offered their facility. No injuries have been reported and the cause of the blaze is unknown at this time.
