Car Crash Mother Injured

MT. VERNON – Last night, at approximately 5:30pm NYPD anti-crime units near Mundy Lane in the Bronx began pursuit of a speeding 2014 Nissan. The vehicle refused to stop after law enforcement’s attempts to pull the vehicle over. According to sources, Police eventually called off their pursuit as the car approached the border of Yonkers. It was then the speeding car, entered Mount Vernon and collided with several cars, coming to a stop at an intersection located at 4th Street and 8th Avenue. A woman holding a baby was sitting in the back seat of one of the cars. According to local sources, she was taken to Jacobi Medical Center suffering severe head trauma. The infant is listed in stable condition.   Taken into custody were the driver and one passenger.
