Beatles, Sir George Martin Dies

ENGLAND – Sir George Martin, the music producer, arranger, composer, conductor, often called “The Fifth Beatle” for his long-time collaboration with the band, died “peacefully” Tuesday, at his home in England, according to his management company.  Adam Sharp, the founder of C A Management who represented Martin stated, “In a career that spanned seven decades he was recognized globally as one of music’s most creative talents and a gentleman to the end.” Besides his seven-year collaboration with the Beatles, Martin worked with, Peter Sellers, Shirley Bassey, America, Cheap Trick, Jeff Beck and Celine Dion, among others. He was 90.
