NJ Transit Talks Slow

NEW JERSEY – NJ Transit and Gov Chris Christie are still in negotiations regarding a new wage contract that would increase salaries and detour an impending rail strike affecting over 100,000 commuters. The deadline for a final deal is this Sunday, March 13th at 12:01am. Last Friday, both sides met before the National Mediation Board in Washington, D.C. but no deal has been penned and progress has been slow. Transportation agencies encourage commuters to prepare now and stay informed on agency websites and the traffic hotline at 511.org.
