NYS Broadband Accepting Bids

Albany – A $500 million dollar initiative providing Internet access to under-served areas in New York is now accepting bids for state
contracts for the new Statewide Broadband Program. The program is a “reverse-auction” meaning the bidder who needs the least amount of state investment will receive the contract. April 15th is the deadline for the auction. Gov. Cuomo stated in a press release, “Through unprecedented investment, we will be expanding reliable internet access in under-served areas, helping businesses become more competitive, and making broadband available in every corner of New York.”
