Spring Valley Man Charged With Attempted Murder

39 Year-old Tomas Lorenzo-Perez of Spring Valley has been arrested and charged with second-degree attempted murder and assault charges after a confrontation with a homeless man left him with a serious stab wound. Police responded to South Main Street after reports of a man armed with a knife, chased and fought another man around Furman Street. The 27 year-old victim was treated and transported to Nyack Hospital for a stab wound to his chest by Rockland Paramedic Serices and Spring Hill Ambulance Corps. Lorenzo-Perez remains at Spring Valley Village Justice Court until his arraignment hearing at a later date.
