Clarkstown police arrested Man for towing stolen property

Clarkstown Police stated on Monday that they arrested a man on Saturday, who had Allegedly stolen a trailer from the East Ramapo School District. According to officials 52-Year old Jose Deleon-Cotto of the Bronx was stopped by an officer on Middletown road around 10 pm for a broken tail light. Earlier that day the school district had reported a trailer missing that was carrying a mini-excavator, which Deleon-Cotto was found towing behind a construction truck. Clarkstown Police are further investigating whether or not the man was in fact attempting to steal the trailer or just move it, as well as if the truck belongs to him. He was arrested and charged with criminal possession of stole property, possession of a forged instrument, both felonies, as well as traffic violations.
