$1 Million Worth Of Cocaine Found In Traffic Stop In Fort Lee

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office released information regarding a drug bust from this past Wednesday. 30 Year-old Oscar Junior Mercedes Rodriguez of New York was arrested in Fort Lee, New Jersey after he was pulled over on Route 4 for an unspecified reason. A subsequent search of his vehicle resulted in finding a street value of $1 million in cocaine stashed in a hidden compartment. Rodriguez was arrested and transported to the Prosecutor’s Office where he was charged with one count of possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance. Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir Grewal mentioned the participation of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office K9, and the Fort Lee Police Department in the investigation leading to the arrest.
