Pataki Suspends Presidential Bid

Former New York Governor George Pataki announced Tuesday that he has suspended his bid for President in the 2016 election. Pataki, whose tenure spawned over a decade including 9/11, released a video on social media tracing his early roots raised on a farm in upstate New York and how it influenced the values he upholds. He said, “I am confident we can elect the right person. Someone who will bring us together and who understands that politicians, including the president, must be the people’s servant and not their master. I know the best of America is still ahead of us.” In May, Pataki announced his candidacy for President, however was never able to garner support in the crowded field of GOP nominees.
