St. Joseph’s Football Coach Resigns After Altercation With Parent

New City resident Christopher Trout, 40 an assistant football coach at St. Joseph’s Regional High School in Montvale has resigned. Earlier in the week, an alleged physical altercation between he and a parent led to his suspension. Trout had originally claimed that he had tried to intervene in an argument when Sharon Hardy, 20, the mother of a player screamed, spit, and slapped him with keys in her hand. Hardy’s account claims that Trout punched her in the face, sending her to the ground. At this time, neither have pursued charges against the other.
