Drugs Seized After Investigation in Yonkers and Bronx

State Police and New York City officials have concluded an investigation, arresting two men and seizing millions of dollars in illegal drugs from locations in the Bronx and Yonkers. Working with a task force from the Drug Enforcement Agency, authorities investigated Jose Rodriguez and Rmaon Rivas, and uncovered 48 pounds of heroin in their Jeep Grand Cherokee when officers approached and searched the run, as well as another 44 pounds in an apartment in the Bronx along with $50,000 cash and 9 pounds of the drugs in a storage facility in Yonkers. The two men were charged with first and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. The drugs are worth $30 million and both men pleaded not guilty to their charges in Manhattan Court on Sunday.
