Ramapo Police: Beware Of Local Phone Scam

The Town of Ramapo Police Department is warning local residents of a telephone scam which has victimized at least three residents in the past week. Detective Sergeant Brian Corbett explains that phone calls are usually directed at the elderly, with the caller posing as their grandchild asking them for bail money to be sent via MoneyGram as soon as possible.
