Police Still Searching for Eugene Palmer

Haverstraw Police officials stated on Friday that they believe wanted fugitive Eugene Palmer is still alive. Friday marked the third anniversary of the death of Tammy Palmer, who was allegedly killed by her 73-year old father-in-law near his home on Willow Grove Road. Police searched for months in the area surrounding his property and in Harriman State Park, where his family believes he vanished to and eventually died from health issues, including diabetes. Haverstraw Police stated that they are continuing to search for the man, who was indicted by a grand jury on charges of second-degree murder, and they believe that he was or is being assisted in remaining alive and hidden from police. They are asking that anyone who could have information or who may not have come forward in the past call 845-354-1500 and a $2,500 reward remains.
