White Plains Firefighter Sentenced To 5 To 15 Years For Fatal Crash

34 Year-old White Plains Firefighter Erik Refvik was sentenced to 5 to 15 years in state prison by State Supreme Court Justice Barry Warhit today at the Westchester County Courthouse in White Plains. In a plea deal struck over the summer, Refvik was promised that sentence if he plead guilty on all counts of his 16-count indictment, instead of facing up to 25 years in prison. Refvik was arraigned in March for the wrong-way fatal collision from last November that claimed one life and injured another after driving drunk and high down South Lexington Avenue in White Plains. His attorney, Andrew Quinn claims that his client has “suffered extreme guilt and remorse and accepts complete responsibility.”
