Three Charged With Stealing From Local Credit Unions

Montgomery State Police are reporting the arrest of three individuals charged with stealing over $11,000 at local credit unions. The seven-month investigation began after the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union and the Mid-Hudson Valley Federal credit union reported irregularities to local police departments. Tyler Castro and Daniela Rivera both 21 of Newburgh along with Alexis Jabbour, 19 of New Windsor are accused of depositing checks and withdrawing funds before the banks uncovered the theft. Both Castro and Jabbour were charged with felonies of third-degree grand larceny and first-degree scheming to defraud while Rivera was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and first-degree scheming to defraud.
