A shooting from late Thursday into Friday morning in Yonkers has left a Major League Baseball prospect in critical condition. Mike Nolan, 23, was shot in the head and arm at the Burger King on Central Avenue at around 12:30 a.m. though it remains unclear if he was the target. He was taken to the Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx for treatment. Police are reporting a white or pale Honda coupe as the suspect’s vehicle with surveillance footage being reviewed to obtain information on a license plate. The incident may have started from a dispute that took place Wednesday evening about a drag race, often taking place on the service road running parallel to the Thruway.
