Lawyers Challenging M.E.’s Report on Man Who Drowned in Hudson River

Lawyers for a woman who was accused of intentionally causing the death of her fiancé who drowned in a kayak accident in Dutchess County in April, are challenging the autopsy. The report was recently released by the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office and states that Vincent Fiore was intentionally killed, citing the drain plug that was removed from the man’s boat. Angelika Graswald was accused of tampering with the kayak prior to her fiancé’s death on the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie, and her lawyers are now challenging the medical examiner, stating that the report does not use medical findings, and “Clearly she tailored her report to whatever police told her.” Graswald has been held in jail since her arrest ten days after the incident, as the trial continues.
