Englewood School Unveils $20 Million Science & Technology Building

The Dwight Englewood School in Englewood New Jersey unveiled a $20 million STEM learning facility as part of their campus. STEM which stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, boasts new laboratories, classrooms, and a greenhouse to foster collaboration and higher learning. With this new facility, the school is hoping for a LEED certification, a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design recognition by the U.S. Green Building Council. About $15 million of the project which began construction only last year, was funded by private donors. Careers and education in the STEM fields have been in the focus of the Department of Education as part of a national strategy for increased engagement and opportunity for all students.
