Newark Man Faces More Charges In Englewood Robbery

A man from Newark is facing even more charges after robbing a woman the same night he tried to rob a gas staion on Route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights. It is alleged that Pablo Perez approached a woman sitting at a bus stop in Englewood Monday evening, and stole her purse and another bag that she had in her possession. Later that night Perez was caught after he robbed a gas station and attacked the clerk. The woman from North Bergen, who was uninjured in the incident, reported the crime the next morning and gave a description that matched Perez, specifically his tattoo. Perez apparently used the same car in both incidents and used the woman’s stolen credit card to make a purchase at a separate gas station. Perez is now facing charges of second-degree robbery by force, $75,000 bail for the Englewood robbery, in addition to the charges and $100,000 bail from the gas station robbery.
