Spring Valley Housing Complex Proposed Again

The Village of Spring Valley is reopening potential plans to build an affordable housing complex on Route 45. Village Trustees are set to meet on Tuesday evening where they will continue discussing the project. The complex has been pitched to the village twice before, both times it was denied, originally the proposal called for 88 units above the strip mall and village hall. Now the developer is asking for 124 rental units, renting from $800 to $1,300 a month. Many residents have expressed concerns about overdevelopment and traffic in the area and a small group will be holding a rally starting at Village on the Green Park from 3-6 PM Sunday, where they will walk to village hall and another one on Tuesday from 11 AM to 2 PM outside of village hall.
