Body Identified as Missing Fort Lee Man

According to police the body of a missing Fort Lee man was discovered on the shore of the Hudson River on Monday. Fort Lee Police found the body and identified it as 49-year old Eugene Jaspan, who was reported missing by his wife on Sunday afternoon, after tracking the man’s movements using traffic cameras. Jaspan’s wife reported to police that he was distressed when he went missing and raised the possibility that he may have been planning to jump from the George Washington Bridge, where he was last seen walking along the Southbound walkway. Police and the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s office are continuing to investigate the cause of death.
