Men and Dog Rescued from Cliff

Nyack Fire Department responded to a call on Wednesday afternoon when two men required rescue from the side of a cliff. According to police, brothers Gabriel and Alex Katzenstein were attempting to save their grandparents’ 14-year old dog who had gotten stuck high up on the cliff near her owners’ home along the Hudson River in Upper Nyack, when they also got stuck and required assistance to get down from the spot the family pet had been trapped. Volunteers with the department’s High Angle Recsue Team used harnesses to bring down the two men and the dog, who are all safe and uninjured.
