Man Used Fake Credit Card at Palisades Mall

According to Clarkstown Police a man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly using a fake credit card. Police stated that 24-year old Julio Sosa-Villanueva from Manhattan was shopping at Best Buy in the Palisades Center Mall, when he tried to purchase four IPhones for the price of $3,599. Police were contacted after the credit card the man was attempting to use did not go through. During the investigation police discovered a fraudulent Connecticut ID, as well as determining the credit card was fraudulent. Sosa-Villanueva was charged with attempted grand larceny, forgery, and possession of a forged instrument, all felonies and was released on $15,000 bail.
