Orange Avenue Apartments Approved

Suffern Trustees officially approved construction for the proposed Orange Avenue Apartments. In May the board voted and construction is set to begin in March of next year, following the approval of required permits. The apartments will provide $4.3 million to the village over 35 years, and the developer Orange Avenue Associates will be purchasing 1.48 acres of land near the Suffern train station for $292,000 and will receive tax credits through the village, town of Ramapo, and the school district. When construction is complete there will be 92 one and two bedroom units available for rent, most likely in July 2017.
