Rockland County Career Center Opens Today

County Executive Ed Day with Rockland Community College President Dr. Cliff Wood and BOCES Superintendent Dr. Mary Jean Marsico announced the opening of the Rockland County Career Center, the new venture run by the Workforce Development Board of Rockland County replacing Tomorrow’s Workplace in Spring Valley. According to the press release by the County Executive, RCC will administer the career preparation and services while Youth seeking services will be operated by Rockland BOCES. By the end of the year, the Career Center will move from its current location to the RCC campuses in Suffern and Haverstraw. The services by both private and public agencies, include assistance with job searches and supplying employers with training and support. Lucy Redzeposki Executive Director of the newly formed Workforce Development Board commented that, “This partnership allows Rockland County to further develop a qualified workforce that meets the needs of area businesses and positions the county for greater economic growth.”
