Boulders Comeback Not Enough, Losing To Jackals

The Rockland Boulders fell to the visiting New Jersey Jackals in Tuesday morning’s game in front of a packed stadium of over 5,000 school children. The 10-8 final score reflects the offensive showcase, both teams combining for 31 hits however, pitching struggled on both sides with a total of 11 relievers coming to the mound. The Boulders trailed the Jackals through the majority of the game, however showing fight in the 7th inning, when three runs came in to cut the deficit to 9-8. The Boulders down 10-8 by the 9th had yet another chance with runners on 2nd and 3rd but could not capitalize with Jackals closer Hector Nelo earning the save.
