Spring Valley Man Charged with Attempted Murder

A 22-year-old Spring Valley man has been arrested in New York City after being involved in a stabbing during a confrontation back on May 13th. The confrontation reportedly took pace on East Hickory Street, in the village of Spring Valley. Byron Baez, was arraigned Thursday on a felony count of second- degree attempted murder. Baez is being held on $500,000 bail at the Rockland County Jail. Baez is not the only suspect however, police are still looking for one more person involved with this incident. The stabbing victim was treated and has been released from the hospital. All parties involved reportedly know one another, but it is unclear as to what caused the confrontation. Baez is expected to be back in court on Tuesday.
