Woman Arrested For Using Fake Credit Card

A 25- year-old Brooklyn woman has been arrested after using another persons drivers license to apply for a Best Buy credit card at the Palisades Center. Akuudo Petire, successfully obtained the card and went on to purchase 3,700 dollars worth of merchandise from the store. According to officials, suspicions were raised about the South Carolina drivers license, and police began there investigation, leading to the arrest. Petire is being charged with second degree identity theft, second degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, as well as third degree grand larceny. All felony counts. Petire faced a Rockland County judge and is being held without bail at the County Jail. She is expected to be back in court sometime today.
