Vehicle and Pedestrian Accident in Ramapo

Ramapo Police responded to an accident in Monsey on Thursday afternoon, involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. According to officials at 3:36 PM a woman driving a black Chrysler minivan was leaving the address on Route 306 when she drove through a stop sign, across both lanes of traffic, onto the sidewalk, and down a 15-foot embankment, striking a twelve-year old girl on the way. The woman received multiple summonses when police arrived, and the girl was transported by Hatzolah Ambulance to Westchester Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
