United Water Announces Flushing Begins In West Nyack

United Water has announced the start of their annual flushing program which began yesterday in West Nyack to continue today. WRCR spoke with Deb Rizzi of United Water who explained that the flushing is a normal annual process following the cold season which can sometimes release sediment, temporarily create low pressure, or show discoloration but is harmless once residents run the water until it is clear.

Samantha way , Woodcock, Highland, Holland, Dutch, Carley, Highland Place, Heather, Scottie, Abner Lane, Wolf Circle, Crossfield, Parkway Drive, Brookhill Court, Indian, Brookhill drive, Foxwood, Saxon, and Flitt.

In addition, Fairmont, Wheeler, Continental, Audubon, Graphic, Hampshire, Jill, Elrod, Worthington, and Stonehaven, may experience a temporary drop in water pressure or discolored water. United Water suggests running the water until it is clear before drinking, cooking, doing the laundry or using the dishwasher.
