Rockland Residents Arrested On Drug Charges With Intent To Distribute

Two Rockland residents were arrested Tuesday in Fair Lawn, New Jersey after Officer Brian Rypkema approached their vehicle parked in the Lukoil Gas Station on Route 208. The press release stated that the officer witnessed the driver toss an empty wax fold out his window, something commonly used to store heroin and proceeded to question Theodore Niforos, 24, of Pomona, and his passenger, Jennifer Coogan, 23, of Stony Point. Niforos admitted having two bricks of heroin, 107 bags, inside the vehicle and Coogan had a needle on her person and also had a $1,000 warrant for her arrest from the Elmwood Park Police Department. Both were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance as well as intent to distribute within a school zone. As per the warrant, Coogan was handed to the Elmwood Park Police with an added charge of possession of a hypodermic needle while Niforos was released later that day.
