Man In Custody After Palisades Center Shoplifting Incident

The Clarkstown Police Department reported a shoplifting incident from Saturday at around 7:45 in the evening in which a loss prevention employee in Macy’s described a man taking two purses and putting them in his pants. The suspect then exited the store without paying for the merchandise prompting the employee to confront him where a struggle took place before officers arrived and took the man into custody. Karl Davis, 50, of Yonkers was charged with third degree robbery, petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, and second degree harassment. Davis was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court and is remanded in the Rockland County Jail until his April 22 court date.
