Students Attacked at Spring Valley Basketball Game

Two students were attacked at a Spring Valley basketball game on Tuesday night. According to police the game took place at the Spring Valley High School and into the second quarter two 19-year old men, who are not students, began punching and kicking the victims, an 18-year old Ramapo High School and 19-year old from Spring Valley High School. School security intervened during the fight and coaches were forced to stop the game, when one of the victims puled a knife in what police describe as an attempt at self-defense. The victims were apprehended by police but have chosen not to press charges against their attackers. The game between Spring Valley and Nanuet will resume at 11:00 AM on Saturday.
