Accident in Chestnut Ridge

Ramapo Police responded to a car accident in Chestnut Ridge early Wednesday morning. Officials stated that the accident occurred around 3:40 AM on Scotland Road and Scotland Hill Road, which remain closed this morning as police investigate what caused the car to crash into trees on the edge of the road at the intersection. According to police the driver, a 19-year old male from Thiells, was in and out of consciousness when emergency responders arrived and he and his 20-year old male passenger from Stony Point were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital. The identities and conditions of both men have not been released and police continue to investigate.
