Seven Arrested in Gambling Crackdown

The Rockland District Attorney’s Office arrested seven people found to be involved in a gambling ring that may have connections to an organized crime group that covers the East Coast. James Hayman, Gerardo Dimatteo, Robert Auliciano, Jonathan Klein, Frank Giordano, and Williams Robbins were all arrested on Wednesday by Clarkstown Police in the District Attorney’s Office as well as the organized crime unit, FBI, New York State Police, and several other Police Departments who assisted. The arrests come after fourteen arrests earlier this month after the District Attorney’s sixteen month long investigation into gambling charges in Rockland and Westchester Counties and the State of Florida. The gambling ring focused on sports and members face charges of money laundering, promoting gambling, and possession of gambling records, among others.
