Man Killed by Car in Monsey

According to Ramapo Police a man was hit and killed by a Honda CR-V traveling North on Monsey Boulevard. The accident occurred around 9:30 PM and officers began investigating the scene, marking evidence and stated that the site was about fifty yards before the cross-walk of the intersection of Monsey Boulevard and Maple Avenue. According to reports the man was a member of the Orthodox Jewish community. The driver was also a member of the community, a woman, who was not injured in the crash. There was no one else in the car. Police have not stated whether or not charges will be filed and will continue investigating the cause.
