Summit Park Home Sale Paperwork Filed

A Monsey man has filed a certificate of need with the state Health Department in hopes to become the operator of the Summit Park Nursing Home. 31-year old Shalom Braunstein is a licensed state Nursing Home Administrator and the paperwork states that his company, Sympaticare LLC, is financially stable enough to lease the home from Summit Park Acquisition Group, which was formed in Delaware on April 1. Recently the Allure Group of Manhattan walked away from their bid to buy the entire facility after Northern Services Group and Rockland Civil Service Employees Association filed lawsuits to block their sale. According to the Chairwoman of the LDC in charge of the sales, Susan Sherwood, more details need to be discussed and a deal would be confidential until it goes through, at which time a public hearing and a vote would happen.
