Couple Who Jumped Off the GWB Suspected in Killing Suffern Man

According to officials the bodies of a Suffern couple who killed an elderly man were found in the Hudson Rover on Monday, after jumping off the George Washington Bridge. Police stated on Tuesday that 41-year old Gary Crockett and 40-year old Nickie Circelli are suspected of murdering Circelli’s uncle, whose name was not released, by strangling him at the Suffern home they shared on Washington Avenue. A neighbor reported hearing loud noises and a car pulling out of drive around 1:00 or 1:30 AM, and later in the morning the victim’s coworker found a note attached to the door explaining that he had been taken to the hospital. According to Joe Pentangelo, a spokesman for Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, around 11:00 AM Monday workers on the bridge saw the couple drop before the two were rescued from the water and taken to St. Luke’s Hospital where they died.
