Questioning Finances of New Tappan Zee Bridge

On Thursday Thomas Madison, the Executive Director of the New York Thruway Authority stated that tolls planned to fund the building of the new Tappan Zee Bridge are still in being developed and there is no specific date for when the tolls will be set up or how much they will cost. Madison stated that the plan to form a toll task force is still in the works, though officials are now questioning how 3.9 billion project is continuing so fast, if there is no set description of how it will be financed. On thursday a super crane was shipped into a New Jersey port to help continue work on the bridge. In the fall the Thruway Authority was granted a 1.6 billion dollar loan by the state government. Currently toll cost $5 round trip, and on the new bridge it could be as high as $14.
