The number of cases of coronavirus in New York has jumped to eleven, nine are in Westchester, and now there’s one in Fort Lee, New Jersey. 11 across the country have died and there are more than 150 cases nationwide, and a Hong Kong coronavirus patient’s pet dog has been quarantined, believed to be the first case of human-to-animal transmission, though it’s considered a “weak positive.” Governor Andrew Cuomo said yesterday, for New York, it all started with the New Rochelle attorney who works in the city…
A family friend has also tested positive as have some of his family members, resulting in the closing of several institutions, including Yeshiva University, The Lawrence Hospital, SAR High School, SAR Elementary School and West Torah Academy. Schools in New Rochelle are staying open, though they are closing in Hastings-on-Hudson and Mount Vernon.
