* WINDS...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
* TIMING...This afternoon into tonight.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph, or gusts of 46 to 57 mph, are expected or occurring. Winds this
strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile
vehicles, in open areas, and on elevated roads and bridges. Use
extra caution.

Flood Advisory issued April 15 at 4:59AM EDT until April 16 at 9:00AM EDT by NWS New York City.

* At 459 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
the advisory area.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
New City, Monsey, Nanuet, Haverstraw, Suffern, Nyack, Tappan, Pearl
River, Orangeburg, Pomona, Upper Nyack, Spring Valley, Valley
Cottage, Airmont and Congers.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
