“Net Neutrality” Overturned by FCC — Change Won’t Happen Overnight

How we use and access the internet could change now that what’s known as “Net Neutrality” has been overturned by the FCC. Under the Obama administration, internet protections had internet service providers treat all traffic equally, so Cablevision couldn’t, for example, favor its own products over a rival company’s services, such as Netflix or Hulu. The Senate voted last month to save net neutrality, though it is not likely to pass the House. 20 states have sued the federal government to overturn the decision as well.
